perfect for sourdough starter
This jar is perfect for a sourdough starter as I use the outer part of the lid over a piece of kitchen paper which allows the starter to breathe. I have 2 of them and rotate them when I feed the starter. Best jars I have used for this purpose

Useful Jar
Useful Jar for anything. I have used these for storing my own beef dripping, chicken broth or bone stock or just for storing food in the fridge. I can see why would someone found the lid annoying but it's really just about getting used to it. I thing it's very useful for canning.

Lid detaches into 2 components
The lid detaches into 2 components (top part and rim). This is becoming very annoying because whenever you unscrew the lid, the top part will remain in place. You then need to get a knife to remove it to avoid cutting yourself.
