Really unusual
I'm not quite sure what to make of this product - its listed as a chutney but is a very thick paste almost like a cooking paste. I think its meant to be like a tamarind chutney. It does say that its ready to eat but I'm not quite sure what I would serve it with - it has a distinct indian/curry taste and I don't think its versatile enough to use in sandwiches etc, but I'm also not really sure that it lends itself to being used as a dip with dosas or chaat, its very sour and bitter on its own. Not a successful trial/experiment for me and wouldn't buy again - that may be down to my lack of sophistication with indian cuisine.
