Sint Estephe
Just bought a few bottles for a family dinner : I opened it about 1/2 hour before dinner, and it was a big hit ! Silky and powerful
Surprised.. in a good way !
Was looking for a wine to bring at a dinner with friends. A great surprise : aromas of ripe fruit, a little spicy and not "too short". Really really good
Acrid
It's possible that the bottle was corked but it was awful - bitter and without depth. I wouldn't even buy it for £4. Thoroughly unpleasant.
Do not buy
This wine was watery and acidy, so much so that we poured it away. St Estephe should be full bodiled without being too heavy with soft tannins and powerful red fruit flavours. Maybe the bottle was corked ? A huge dissapointment.
Quite disappointing
Foolishly expected price to reflect in flavour. But it really didnt. Quite underwhelming and unmemorable....
Delicious
Found this delicious and very easy drinking. Smooth, full and jammy - was a total winner
