I got this to try it, not holding out much hope and expecting it to be too sweet for me. However, I really liked it. As other reviewers said - it does need to be properly chilled, or it starts to taste sweeter. But to say that it tastes like appletiser or apple juice isn't really fair - there is a bit of an appley taste, but it's much lighter and not nearly as sweet. I'll definitely be buying it again (reducing my alcohol consumption!)
Trying to cut down on alcohol, however missing my wine, especially at Sunday lunch, found this to be very pleasant to drink and would purchase again.
I cant drink anymore due to a medical issue and I really miss wine. Ive tried so many awful non alcoholic wines, but this one is great. Its not perfect but its as close as Ive found. One thing, it does need to be ice cold to taste wine like. If its not really cold, it seems to get sweeter and more like fruit juice. I love this and think it is well worth the price tag
Very dissapointing - like flat Appletiser
Our party of 6 tucked into this, expecting a reasonable non-alcoholic substitute for Reisling. For those not driving, we also had a bottle of Alsace Reisling open. It did not favour at all well by comparison - tasting like poor quality apple juice - flat Appletiser comes to mind. I'd much rather drink nice apple or grape juice for a fraction of the price, rather than this at £7.
Like most people, I probably drink too much. So I am always looking for nice alternatives to booze that don't feel like kids drinks. I don't really like most soft drinks and I really like the taste of wine. I have tried a few that have turned out to taste like grape juice, way too sweet. This is a bit sweeter than the usual whites I go for but not as sweet as most wine alternatives and it really does taste like wine. I think there is a hint of vinegar, perhaps how they got the taste. But I would definitely try again as a nice alternative, or get some in for my friends wo are not drinking at a dinner party. It's a bit pricey, but worth it as a treat.
Delicious when refrigerated, and it can always lift my mood
