the best of frozen pastries
i often have to shop Ocado just to order these when we run out - a regular weekend treat
Good
These are very good, to ensure everything is cooked inside without burning the outside I find cooking for 20 minutes under foil and then removing for the final 20 minutes works well.
yum
Well I cooked mine properly and they werent gloopy, burned or otherwise. My elderly blind father liked them too. So a regular for us now. East to cook. I didnt preheat the oven either. Just chucked them in.
difficult to get the middle to cook properly
I love bake at home products, especially pastries as I like them crisp and flakey. Whilst I do like the flavour of these, I found the middle to be a bit doughy still, despite the outside being a dark brown. I recommend mixing a little icing sugar and water together, drizzle this over the top, its add a sweetness to the pastry which I find is lacking.
yummy
These are delicious.Big,fat juicy raisins,great flavour.Lovely.
Almost as good as in France.
I've tested many Pain aux Raisins and have to say, these are pretty high in level of taste and quality as the ones I've had in Paris. I took the advice of a previous reviewer and cooked two on baking paper in my air-fryer on Bake at 150 degrees for 30 mins. Et voila! Perfect for lazy Sunday breakfasts, mid week afternoon treats or as part of a weekend brunch.
