nice prawns, but need cleaning
Have been buying these prawns for a while now as they are quite tasty and a good size. Unfortunately lately I have noticed that they need cleaning before eating, shell and what looks like yellow bits over them. This time it took 15 mins to clean them before I could eat them, not what you what when making lunch
Perfect prawns
I was impressed with these. Some supermarket prawns can be very small, strangely dry and tastless. I let these get to room temperature to bring out the flavour and they were plump and tasty. Great on their own or in a salad. With Marie rose sauce they are fantastic.
Good
I buy these small prawns most weeks. They are fresh but I always rinse them before using. They have a delicate flavour and make a delicious prawn salad or a sandwich
SWEET AND JUICY
They were really very good, with a nice taste , could not fault them in any way
Extremely short shelf date
Ordered on a Saturday and the shelf life date was the Monday ( 2 days is far too short a shelf life date) I had planned for these to be used on Tuesday in a stir fry meal. Extremely disappointed with both Ocado and the packer. I will not buy this item again from Ocado. I have been a customer for over 10 years and this is a bad customer experience . I had to throw all 3 packs away - shelf fish needs to be eaten fresh and I did not want food poisoning. Will have to buy my prawns from Waitrose
