Lovely mushrooms they are always fresh and stay firm when cooked not wet and soft as some do.

Wet and slimy mushrooms

I'm sure I was told that removing the use-by date on fruit and veg would cut down on food waste. These mushrooms were old and wet on the day they were delivered to me so they went straight into the composted. Waste of food and money.

half fresh half not

Chestnut mushrooms are a frequent buy. Either Ocado or M&S brand. The pack which arrived 2 days ago was mixed between some fresh and some clearly past it mushrooms. Poor
