THESE ARE NOT SCRAPS, THESE ARE M&S STIR FRY
Buy 1 chicken. Add a 40% markup (call it Cost1) -- Remove wings & thighs, add Cost1 & 20% for filleting & waste. Sell as aLo £ Special -- Sprinkle some wing & thigh portions with cheap spices, add an exotic name & Cost1 & 30% for spices, filleting & waste -- Remove 1 whole breast, remove skin, remove & set aside mini-fillet (small lower section on back with white tendon in). Trim. Add Cost1 & 20% for filleting, skin removal & disposal fees -- Remove 2nd whole breast, remove & set aside mini-fillet & skin. Trim. Add Cost1 & 20% but pay no skin removal & disposal fees. Label Skin on Fillets & hope buyers think it an added value item & buy more -- Pack mini fillets, hoping no one notices they are bits cut off 4 or 5 birds. Add 30% to Cost1 for costs already paid when processing whole fillets -- Add larger scraps cut off carcass, filleting trims to slices cut from fillets not trimmed neatly enough to sell. Add Cost1 & 30% for the -added value- ie. the gathering up of scrap.
Scraps of chicken
In my mind, I was going to get something that would feed two people, but the reality was it was 250g of small bits of chicken, and it was very uneven, so the cooking times varied depending on some being raw and some being cooked.
Inedible
Wish I had read reviews! Large uneven slices badly cut - had expected tender mini fillets for stir frying. So tough it was inedible and thoroughly unpleasant. Description on the pack of stir fry strips totally misleading.
small and badly cut
Very small amount of chicken for 2 people & it was slices in really different sizes! Meaning it was hard to stir fry
slices
All different sizes which makes stir frying tricky as they dont cook at same time. Quite tough too
around one breast sliced
the quality of the meat is questionable... once cooked couple pieces are soft m edible but rest is not, got around 8 pieces thinly sliced breast which id say maybe 1 breast or less
