not schnitzel
All the coating came off or was just soggy! Oil was hot n we were hungry but neither of us ate all. The sizes were ok but I remember schnitzel from the M and s in store deli and that was superb.. ahhh good old pre Brexit pre cost of living days
Tough and incorrect cooking time
Oh dear, what is M&S doing with this "Cook with M&S" range? Overpriced, fairly bland and in this case dangerously low cooking time recommended. I literally cooked it at the recommended medium heat of 5 mins but they were still all dangerously undercooked (please bear in mind this is a pork product). Overall, I cooked them for about 12 mins plus another min for the butter (that struggled to melt in that time). The end result was 50/50 - two of them were actually still quite soft and juicy - two as tough as old boots. They're also very small. If this was my first experience of M&S, I'd literally not go back. Thankfully, they have other, more quality ranges, reasonably priced (relatively) but I won't be wasting my money on this range. It doesn't reflect well on Ocado either, such poor quality and incorrect cooking time.
crumb falls off
Not sure if this can be classified as pork schnitzel when the crumb falls off and burns to the bottom of the pan. The pork tasted okay (probably because of the herb butter) but otherwise either the instructions for how to cook these is inaccurate (I thought baking would have been more appropriate given the loose crumb) or they are just poorly executed as a pan fry main.
vVery small. photo misleading!
Got these to feed 3 adults. You would definitely need two packs. These are very small and therefore not cost effective!
meal deal winner
I had this with part of my dine in meal deal, easy mid week dinner with it only taking 5 mins to cook up. would recommend plenty of oil in the pan to get extra crispy. delicious . would recommend
Pathetic
Looks lovely in the image doesnt it? Sadly reality does not reflect. I received a package which was under 1/2 full, with 4 small slices of pork, one of which was double the thickness of the others, all with about 10% coverage of breadcrumbs, if that. Just not schnitzel. Refund requested. Expect better of M&S.
