My award winning Chinese Takeaway
Prawn toast from my local Chinese restaurant is £7.50, discounted if you pick it up yourself, is the same price as Ocado and double / triple the cost of other supermarkets! This, sadly, is one of a ever growing list of items that is significantly more expensive that the competition and whilst some items have come down in price recently, has not kept up. I understand the pressure on Ocado and their growing loan interest expense but that doesn't mean I'll pay double, even triple sometimes for the same item. Sorry Ocado, your range is THE BEST but your prices are unsustainable for your customers...
Prawnless
Hugely disappointing. These were pretty tasteless, and very little filling. I ended up taking off the bottom layer of bread to extract any flavour from the remaining piece. Tha dip was very salty.
Delightful
More liked a small toasted prawn sandwich, just delightful. I wasnt a fan of the dip but hubby liked it, I had a sweet chilli dip which I really enjoyed with the toasts. Would definitely buy again.
Best ever? Hardly!
Hugely overpriced and far too much bread - not how prawn toasts are supposed to be.
Tasty
I have just eaten these and they are lovely. I didnt like the sauce so I used soya sauce instead.
