Too much vinegar
Thoroughly unpleasant product. and teeth enamel striper.
Plump pickled herring
I had five rollmops in my pack. The fillets were plump silvery and soft but certainly not mushy. As good as marinated anchovies in my opinion and a real treat. I’m gutted M&S stopping doing the mazzo meal fish balls as these two things were part for my beloved fish mezze along with other bits and pieces. I find these scrummy however.
Changed and shrunk
I have ordered these regularly for years but the last couple of tubs had small mean half fillets in the pack. The pack use to be stuffed with about twice as many. They also had some lovely onion - but that’s gone Great herrings but now a little too soft because the pack is mostly liquid. Thumbs down and I feel a bit bereaved.
rollmops with sugar?
Why do these contain Sugar, if you buy proper ones from a fishmonger they Dont contain sugar. So much m and s produce contains unnecessary sugar, peanut butter for example, its really bad . I avoid buying m and s food for this reason, people need to read their labels closely. Im sorry m and s replaced Waitrose , annoying .
Magnificent
Absolutely beautiful. Nothing else to say.
Soft and mushy
These have changed over the years..Used to have 3 or 4 much larger servings within the pot. Now there are five very small rolled up fish, very soft and soapy. Full of onion and Gherkins.I find these a little bit too bitter for me as well. I won't be buying these again
