History

Founder Brian McGuigan adopted the central symbol of the family crest, the lion, to reflect inspiration & the McGuigan's enduring spirit & passion for producing great quality Australian wine. Those proud family traditions are still at the heart of McGuigan winemaking values today. IWSC Winemaker of the Year-2009/'11/'12/'16 & IWC White Winemaker of the Year-2009/'12/'13/19.
Regional Information
The climate is hot with high evaporation rates and generally low rainfall, making irrigation essential. The climate is also continental, resulting in long sunny days and noticeably cooler nights. Modern viticultural and winemaking techniques mean that the climate can be seen as one of the region's strengths. Long sunshine hours ensure fruit ripens fully and low relative humidity results in little incidence of disease.

Vinification Details
The fruit was crushed, de-stemmed and immediately clarified. Fermentation followed after inoculating with selected yeast strains. Fermentation was carried out at cool temperature to preserve the fruit. Fermentation lasted for 2 weeks. Post fermentation the wine was racked of the ferment lees and remained on light lees until blended.

delicious
I really like the palate of this wine and I think it's amazing for the price. It is as one reviewer said more acid than oak but I like that.

Good example of new wave of Aussie Chardonnay
This isn't a big voluptuous oaky Chardonnay. It's much simpler, acidic (in a good way) and full of tropical fruit flavors. If that's what you are looking for it represents very good value for money

Truly awful
Like a three quid two litre bottle of plonk. Awful, dreadful, can't believe I have six bottles of this rubbish to drink. If I could send it back I would.
