Full bodied red

This is a great wine to have with the Sunday roast. Full bodied and flavoursome. I think that this will be a good choice to have with Christmas turkey.

McManis Estate Petite Sirah ABV 13.5% 75cl

As you'd expect from a Durif grape, it's very fruity, acidic & it smells of flowers. Unpleasant & rather artificial - like a blackcurrant fruit drink. If this was free I wouldn't drink it. Horrid. I've frozen it in cubes for stews that need wine.

Expensive and undrinkable

Bought this wine based on the good reviews and while it was on sale! Found it very disappointing. Harsh and acidic and expensive too.

Typical

True to the best exemplar of the grape variety, this is a deep, inky, violet hue with elegant powdery tannins. The taste is reminiscent of elderberries and lusciously smooth. A treat to be savoured slowly.

Nice Drop

Would be a little on the pricey side for what I’d normally pay for a bottle at full price but bought on offer. Really very nice even straight from the bottle without any time to breath. Would consider paying full price as it’s very drinkable. Would recommend.
