On a cold night with some warm custard…perfect
A shame it has changed so much
This used to be a cake 'back in the day' - crumbly. Now it's branded as a "sticky pudding" and this is what it is. It glues the teeth. Too stodgy for me.
Just as nice as its always been!
We used to get this all the time growing up and as a bit of nostalgia I bought one to see if its still as nice! It is! Both myself and my husband both enjoyed a trip down memory lane, we both agreed that its just as sticky and gingery as I remember. Ive no idea what the other reviewers are on about, we loved it and its now going to be a regular treat!
Not as it used to be.
I hadnt had this cake in a long time and I have to say its not like it used to be. Its got an overpowering taste and its not ginger its very chemical tasting its the only way I can describe it. Leaves a nasty after taste thats hard to get rid of. Wont be eating the rest it will be binned unfortunately.
This is just as good as it was when I first tasted it years & years & years ago! So moist & delicious.
not as good as I remember
I really wanted to like this cake as I used to have it as an emergency pudding but it really doesn't taste as strong as it used to and I think the texture is less sticky too
