Every piece of packaging on every chocolate that we sell is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable. That's right - 100% of our range is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable. This includes the glue, inks and stickers, as well as the tape, pallet wrap, and everything that we use for packaging and distribution. It's been a mammoth task and we are super proud of what we've achieved. In fact, we believe we're the first chocolate company in the UK to be able to make this claim on our entire range and across all packing materials.
All our packaging is now only sourced from the UK and Europe, despite cheaper sources being available from countries further away. This supports our drive to become carbon neutral.
All of our products are made by us in our factory by the sea in sunny West Sussex!
We do not, and will never, use palm oil in our products. We know others use it because it's much cheaper than cocoa butter but we will never compromise on quality or taste. Over 50% of our range is vegan and all of our products are free from Gluten, GM, Colourings & Preservatives.
We do everything in our power to minimise our impact on the environment. We pay a fair price to our suppliers, we always aim to buy cocoa from sources free from deforestation and we are totally against any form of slavery or forced labour.

Completely tasteless
Really disappointing. Absolutely no taste whatsoever, feels like you are eating boiled milky sugar. Their Dark Buttons are really good so very surprising that they got these so wrong, especially with their price tag.
Big chocolaty Buttons
I tried these chocolates at a friend's and loved the taste, so I ordered some.. They did not last long so had to order more. Even though they are on the expensive side I am willing to pay more if the taste suits me..
Too sweet, not a lot of cocoa taste
I feel like these didn't used to be as sweet. They apparently have the same percentage cocoa solids as Green & Black milk chocolate, but the difference in taste is huge. These taste waxy and sweet, a bit reminiscent of the cheap Christmas chocolate of my childhood - only it's really not cheap. Second star for organic ingredients.
Recipe change for the worse
These were out of stock for a long time on Ocado so I bought a pack directly from Montezuma which Ive only just opened after finishing my old stash. I cant believe the difference in taste! I actually came on here to look at reviews to see if I had a bad batch. It seems not. Previous reviews describing waxy and cooking chocolate are absolutely spot on. And giant buttons they are no longer. I will not be buying again and will be using up my bag as cooking chocolate.
Good but
These are good and (sugar aside) no bad ingredients. However, they do lack flavour (this is new) and at £5.20 they are too expensive. Like the other reviewers, we’re looking for alternative “good” chocolate
Waxy not creamy since recipe change
Cost has become astronomical, so together with the changing recipe I can no longer recommend these. Will be looking for an alternative.
