FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Cave Grown Brown Paris Mushrooms
- Varietally similar to Button Mushrooms, Paris Mushrooms are grown underground in quarries so that they can be kept at constant temperature. This results in firmer, less watery flesh and a rich, concentrated flavour.
- While many Champignons de Paris are actually grown industrially, we source ours just north of Paris from one of the few remaining growers who still uses traditional methods.
- As these mushrooms are grown directly in the earth, the very tip of their stem is often covered with soil. Simply slice it off before cooking.
Take it further
- Slice thinly and enjoy raw.
- Quarter and quickly sautéed with parsley and butter, served on sourdough.
Our packaging is plastic-free
- We have developed our own revolutionary packaging which is entirely plastic-free and home disposable. Each of our recyclable cardboard punnets is flow-wrapped with home-compostable film which, unlike traditional plastic flow-wrap, disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
- Each punnet bears the `Plastic Free¿ mark of A Plastic Planet, a grassroots movement which aims to turn off the plastic tap.

Since 2004, we have put measures in place to ensure that any incidental food waste never reaches landfill. In the US, France and the UK, we work with foundations to ensure that viable food never goes to waste. In London we work with The Felix Project to help feed local communities. In any given week, we load 5 to 10 pallets of fresh produce onto Felix Project vans - the equivalent of 300kg of fresh fruit & vegetables diverted from landfill.

Cest bon!
I dont usually take the time to review items on Ocado, but the sheer mushroomy superiority of these have bought me here. These are *very* tasty. Yes, they are more expensive than your average mushroom, but they are incredibly firm and flavourful. Fantastic.
super
Really great mushrooms Worth paying the extra
Hard to get rid of the grit
Not for us, half the cave was still attached! Very hard to get rid of the grit
Arrived slimy
Have bought these before and they have been fine, but these were already going slimy when they arrived. Useable immediately, but only just, and definitely wouldnt make the two days guaranteed by Ocado or the four days shelf life date on the packet.
amazing and flavourful
Got these on a flash sale. Amazing flavour. Definitely recommended. Pricy but delicious
Great taste
Bought on flash sale. Really nice to have mushrooms that actually taste of something for a change.
