FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER

Natoora Echalion Shallots
- A cross between an onion and a shallot: sweeter than an onion, but less aromatic than a shallot.
- We select only copper coloured, smooth skinned echalions.
- Long, elongated shape gives it the name “banana shallot”.
Take it further
- Use as a base for a softer, less pungent onion flavour
- Easier to prepare than traditional shallots, due to their larger size.

Good shallots
Nice firm shallots, good quality, decent size.
Consistently good
We purchase these shallots every week. Theyre consistently good and full of flavour. You get a big quantity also.
Love
Always good quality, big, tasty. Expensive but good quality
Consistently Good
Just wish they were cheaper. Great flavour, as said, not overly oniony and a sweeter taste. Great size.
utterly flavurless
March 23. These are totally unfit for purpose especially if you are planning to cook with them. Zero taste. The Natoora round shallots are better.
Fresh and Taste Delicious!
These shallots are superb. I have had two packs recently and both have lasted very well. I use them in dishes requiring a subtle onion flavour and, also, mixed with other vegetables to serve alongside a main course. They are firm, fresh and easy to peel and chop. Perhaps the previous reviewer was unlucky; but, it is worth noting that onions should be stored in the dark, in a cold and well ventilated pantry; they then remain fresh for a long time.
