full of hard fat
I ordered two of these and both of them had a lot of hard fat on it. I have no issue with fatty meat but this was unpleasant. Its in my slow cooker so hopefully now will be ok but Ive had to pay money for the huge amount of fat Ive had to cut off and throw away.
perfect for the slow cooker
I put this in the slow cooker on high for about 5-6 hours and the meat was sooooo tender.
Superb if roasted for 4 hours half in stock
I had almost given up on this. A 2 1/2 hour roast left it not flavoursome and coarse texture, but after 4 hours roasted in a pot, half covered in stock after marinating with ginger, sea salt and paprika and turning it several times, with burnt edges, then leaving to stand, it was extremely tasty. Like beef remembered decades ago and fantastic the next day on bread.
I bought it for make sauce beef with Chinese way, slowly cooked in sauce (and other ingredients) around half 3hrs. My bf and I both love it but next time Ill get beef shin for make sauce beef
Mmmm, yum. I cooked mine in the slow cooker. Wow! It tasted lovely and was almost melt in the mouth, just as brisket should be when cooked properly. The fat all melts and adds to a wonderful flavour. Only problem is that leaving it to rest is fatal, it magically grows smaller as chunks are sampled!!
