Awful smell, tastes fine
I've had a couple of packets of this broccoli and it smells absolutely disgusting. So strong that the entire fridge reeks. But oddly enough, when I cook it, although the leaves go brown and wither, the rest of the broccoli is fine to eat.
I normally only have great things to say about ocado veg. However this really is a poor product. Mostly thick stem. Which i could accept if it wasnt so thick and woody. Rather pay more for a better product or buy a regular crown of broccoli...at least you would get more flower.
I think there must have been something wrong with the packing process here because this was utterly disgusting. It smelt strongly of sulphur when I opened the bag. I washed it to try and get rid of the smell but decided it was inedible. In the bin even though well in date.
Smelt vile. Tasted worse.
On arrival something smelt funky in our shopping - not in the Nile Rodgers meaning, sadly. It was the tenderstem broccoli. I've never known veg stink like that – it reminded me of the smell of a dirty fishtank. So out of curiosity I cooked it and tasted it. It was disgusting beyond belief. Yet still within date.
Rotten on delivery
This product was already off on arrival. It made our entire fridge smell disgusting as a result. Still had three days on best before date label
Strange smell when I opened the pack and nasty taste. Never buying again
