Very strong licorice like smell but it tastes perfect with veg end egg.

Great quick healthy dinner

We have this at least once a week, it makes a great base for a ramen, particularly with the Ocean's halo ramen noodles. We tend to add a bit of siracha and a little sesame oil. Very tasty and quick.

Not pho

Does not taste like pho poured it out

makes the best mushroom soup

i dont know why the other reviews are so bad. this has lots of flavour! not my usual purchase i must admit. i didnt use this as a pho broth, instead i used it as a soup base and it was incredible. fry finely chopped onion, garlic and celery, throw a very generous amount of mushrooms in, once cooked add in the broth with some cubed potatoes. cook until potatoes have softened. i add plenty black pepper, splash of milk, or cream if you prefer, and blend it all up. the opened broth lasts much longer in the fridge than advertised too.
