Avoid
These whilst tasting ok gave us horrific stomach ache and sorry for tmi horrible diarrhoea! Never again.
Blind tasting
Bought M&S on the same order and did a blind taste comparison before I checked the ingredient list - the egg substitute doesn't work for me
Awful
Sickly sweet, oily, and horrible. Regardless of whether you're vegan or not, you'd have a better time eating literally anything else.
Odd tasting
Not nice at all. The "cream" was particularly vile.
Not Properly Described
Kindly note that I would not "troll" any Vegans or Vegetarians. I have the highest respect for those who, from choice, or philosophy, or neccessary Dietary Restrictions, wish to buy special foods, & I am glad that they are available for them. I saw the little "V" and was not worried. But to be honest, whatever the benefits, these cakes were just inedible in my caring and open-minded household. Yes, sickly sweet & with a revolting underlying flavour. They had to be disposed of & I think the extravagant & flowery description is utterly inappropriate & misleading. I am grateful that Ocado will refund.
Delicious
The ingredients to these cakes are the same as non-vegan cakes, just instead of eggs, aquafaba(chickpea water) is used instead, it's a shame that anti-vegans come and troll review sections of vegan products hoping to make so many low reviews that the products get discontinued, don't always believe what you read, some of these comments are suspect. The cakes are lovely and moist, not dry at all, great fluffy texture, raspberry jam in the cakes is delicious, cream is very vanilla sweet, they are the best cakes I've ever had. A bit sickly if you eat all 4 at once though, but I imagine that would be the same with that amount of any cakes
