OMGTEA's AAA Grade Matcha (Organic Matcha Green Tea) award winning premium ceremonial tea is grown in Kagoshima, a province known for its organic farming. Our tea fields are shaded for four weeks before being picked, which boosts their chlorophyll content; the plants are then harvested by hand with only the finest leaves from the first harvest used. They are then ground using a traditional granite stone mill, a process that takes around an hour to grind 30 grams.
Matcha has about 30-35mgs of natural caffeine but also contains L-Theanine, which enhances the production of alpha brainwaves, the brainwaves present in deep relaxation. This results in a slow release of energy over 3-6 hours.

Good Matcha
I've tried a fair amount of matcha and I'm constantly trying to balance cost and quality, which can be difficult as really good matcha tends to be prohibitively expensive. This matcha strikes a good balance for me. I find this has a mellow, almost nutty flavour and isn't at all bitter. It blends very well with a decent whisk, leaving no lumps and goes down very smoothly. I'm prone to acid reflux and this is one of the very few matchas I've tried that doesn't cause me problems, even after a second cup. My only qualm would be similar to other reviewers, that the colour of the matcha can be a little disappointing, having a more yellow-green hue than a vibrant, bright emerald green you'd expect for this grade but it doesn't detract from the taste.
Def not ceremonial
If you are looking for really high quality non-bitter matcha, then look somehwere else. The colour in the pic is photoshopped
lovely matcha
I nice alternative to tea bags and gorgeous with frothed milk. Just make sure you whisk the powder in warm/medium hot water first.
Lacks umami
This is a good matcha, but flavour wise it's lacking a bit of umami for me. Tastes also a bit more powdery than some others.
Good
One of the best options available for maccha, very smooth and with lots of flavour. Description of the product is a bit misleading as they write it is from their own tea field when in fact they just import it from a local supplier.
AAA Matcha tea
We have tried so many different makes and grades of Match tea's. This one is by far the best. The taste is outstanding and the colour is the most vibrant match I have seen in this quality. It is 100% worth every penny. We are now onto our 3rd pot. I would not buy any other brand now.
