Baby loves it
I've been giving this to my son since he was 9/10 months, and he still loves it at 13 months. Not cheap, but good vfm when it's on offer.
Ok but expensive
My baby is almost one, and has been eating this for several months now. She is not very excited to move on from purées and smooth things, so this porridge is still her favourite as it’s very smooth compared to adult oats- although I am starting to add a few regular oats to this to make it last longer! Will find a way to blitz some regular oats and try to recreate this once we are done with the current box because it’s madness that this is £1.25 per hundred gram when normal organic oats are 24p per 100g! I also worry about the plastic packaging and would prefer to buy oats in a paper bag instead of this with a cardboard box and a metallic plastic bag inside. Why can’t companies be a bit more environmentally aware?? I do think there’s an element of conning parents with this to be honest, it’s extortionate for what it is.
Needs teeth
I bought this for my 8-month old because I was looking for an oat-based cereal. It tastes great with warm milk, but unfortunately it’s too lumpy for my baby. I think this is more suited for a 12-month-plus baby, or a baby with more teeth! It has some whole oats (which you would normally cook for an adult), and chopped dried fruit. It will go back in the cupboard for a couple of months until baby is more confident with lumps.
Great porridge
Our one y/o loves this porridge with milk or with water. Ive read that some reviews say its clumpy. I believe its to do with the way you stir it when you prepare it. I do boil it for few minutes and then leave it for 5 min or so, makes oat bits softer. I did taste it myself when was feeding my child and I really liked it. I think if there would be one in adult size I probably would get it for myself :).
very good product.
I bought this as food for my baby pet mouse, who is wild. I tasted it whist cooking ------ all I can say is I wish they made an adult size box, as its so delicious ! Probably great for babies too!!!!
