ABOUT THE DISH
Mafaldine (Italian for 'little queens') are an alluring, ribbon-shaped pasta with beautiful wavy edges and a striking appearance. In 1995, the Italian government commemorated the Princess Mafalda of Savoy, in whose honour reginette (also known as 'mafaldine') were created, with a limited edition stamp. Our chefs simmer the ragù for several hours with plenty of aromatics including Chianti red wine until the meat yields all its rich flavours. To top it all off, we serve with delicious Italian formaggio. Follow the instructions we include with your kit and enjoy a 5* pasta dish in 5 minutes.

recipe change - for the worse

So disappointed- this was always a go to when on offer for a midweek treat - but they have completely changed the recipe and it is now borderline inedible. Such a strong, artificial stock taste

Bought on offer. After the first taste it all went in the refuse. Strange taste, not nice.

Not as good as it used to be

Previously bought the set and the sauce alone but this time the pasta was nice but sauce was inedible- full of gristle and fat

Not as good as it used to be

This pasta used to come with beautiful tagliatelle dusted in pasta flour which seemed very authentic. Now it comes with shaped pasta in a sealed bag which does not seem as fresh. Disappointing. More sauce needs to be supplied. Tasty but not worth the premium price tag.

Tasty quick meal

This is a very tasty dish, the flavours are deep and rich, at first I thought the beef and sauce wouldn't be enough for two but it was just the right portion size. It was an easy dinner to cook and filling.

More pasta than sauce

I normally love the dishes from this brand, but this was disappointing. The portion of pasta was more than sufficient but there was nowhere near enough sauce to coat the pasta and only the smallest amount of beef in the sauce. It felt like I ended up with just a large bowl of pasta!
