my favourite bread

I love Poilane sourdough bread. Is has real flavour and a firm texture. I dont like other sourdoughs I have tried as much and I dont favour soft spongy bread. Sorry to read some people find it hard. I suppose its what you are used to and personal preference.

Very hard and dry inedible

Couldn’t wait to try this sourdough bread. Unfortunately I had to bin it, dry, stale and hard to swallow. Could have easily broken my window if I’d have thrown it. Tried to have it toasted as per another review but even harder to chew and swallow

This bread should be lovely

But, it's dry and hard. The ingredients list looks great and sales pitch sounds great. Something is not right. Is it fresh? Frozen months before and defrosted? Does the slicing leave it dried out. I struggle to find a real healthy bread in supermarkets!

Superb bread

The smell of this loaf is addictive sign of a proper bread. I use for toasts - toasted sandwiches. Love the texture, taste and smell. Lasts longer than the BBD. A big thumbs up.

love this bread

Agree with previous review! A delight to get this back in sliced format. Tastes amazing such a lovely flavour. Great with soup, eggs or nut butter! Yes it generally needs toasting and isnt great as a fresh loaf but is perfect for me and thinly sliced so can use straight from freezer when I need it!
