Product information

This wine, originating from vines belonging to and surrounding the Azevedo Estate, is produced from a meticulous selection of the Loureiro variety.
Bright and light citrus color, with a complex aroma featuring notes of citrus and fresh tropical fruits. The palate is fruity with an integrated and invigorating acidity, showing an excellent balance between all the components and a long finish.

Intense aromas with notes of fresh citrus fruit, grapefruit zest and hints of ripe tropical fruit. In the mouth it is fresh, with a good balance of acidity and fruit flavours and a crisp finish
History
The fields of Azevedo date back to the 11th century when they were granted to the Azevedo family by royal decree. The vineyards and winery of this imposing property, which is home to a mysterious tower that has remained untouched since the 15th century, honour a history built upon the production of the best white wines.
Regional Information
Fernando Guedes planted 35 hectares of vineyards in this cool, wet part of north-western Portugal, bordered to the north by the Minho River, which separates Vinho Verde from Spain's Rías Baixas, to the west by the Atlantic, to the south by the city of Porto and to the east by the Serra do Marão mountains, beyond which lies the Douro Valley.

Vinification Details
Vibrating hopper, must conducted under inert gases and temperature control. Pneumatic press. Cool settling prior fermentation which occurs @ 14 - 16 ºC.

A bit sour

This doesn't have the nice slight sparkle and tasted a bit sour, not crisp. I wouldn't buy again.

not as nice as the other Vino Verde

This one is more like a Sauvignon Blanc, which I do not like. The other Vino Verde you sell is lovely & crisp

Nice refreshing wine

Very much to my taste. Easy drinking. Serve well chilled. Have repurchased a few times.

A bit disappointing

I usually love vinho verde, but this one was a bit disappointing. It was rather insipid and lacked flavour

nicest wine ever

Since my partner and I went to Porto we are obsessed with vinho verde, and this one is top tier! Thanks Ocado!
