Tasting Notes
A bright straw yellow heralds the intense, elegant bouquet where the dominant citrus and white-fleshed fruits, threaded with hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it unfolds an intriguingly agile structure paced by a well-sustained savouriness.
History
The Maremma is an area full of strawberry trees, juniper, myrtle, heather, and brambles, not to mention cypress, cork oak, and pine trees. It is a region replete with aromas and colours, dotted with hills covered in meadows and woods that slope gently down to the sea, interrupted here and there by small plains. The vitality and characteristics of the great wines from the Sassoregale estate are the result of this beautiful scenery.

Vinification Details
The grapes are harvested at full technological and aromatic ripeness to enhance their aromatic potential and structure. Off-the-skins vinification begins with the soft-pressing of the grapes and continues with fermentation in steel tanks, where the wine stays in contact with the lees for about five months in order to acquire further nuances of flavour.

This has a lovely taste - if not slightly tangy. BUT...it gave us the worst headache the next day! So we wont be purchasing this again!
