perfect seasoning
I love it and use it for everything. It goes great in pasta sauces but also brilliant on chicken or potato wedges
gives a little kick to spag bol
I add this to my vegetarian version and it gives it a lovely spicy flavour (not to strong) and works well with the other Italian seasonings.
More Than Just For Italian
It made homemade fresh tomato Ragù alla Bolognese next level, that was combined with nutmeg to be more aromatic and this added lovely spiciness. It’s also handy for stuffed pepper filling, Spaghetti alle vongole, Mozzarella salad, chicken & mushroom risotto, steak, stew, burger, scrambled egg, mashed potato, etc... definitely more than just for Italian. Actually, it worked beautifully like secret spices of tomato-based demi-glace sauce for Japanese Hayashi Rice to be more sweet & spicy as well.
An abomination
Tastes like raw flour with stale herbs. Stick to classic Italian seasoning and add red pepper flakes. Bought two on offer - when I emptied the two bottles in the bin so I could recycle them, well, I cant even describe the smell.
My go-to spice
I always have this spice in my cupboard as it's so versatile. It's even been on holiday with us when we've self-catered! We mainly use it to spice up salads but goes great with mozzarella, feta, halloumi. Love it so much - hope they don't discontinue it.
why add sugar to herbs?
If I wanted sugar in my savoury dishes I could add it, I'm sick of the food industry adding sugar to everything, not needed, no wonder so many of us are fat
