Hot, Hot, Hot!
I agree with the previous reviewer. This seemed much hotter than the usual korma - more like a 3 chilli rating. (Not that I have tried one). I wondered if the advice to use 3 tablespoons was correct - did they mean 3 heaped teaspoons? (As the jar is meant to do 12 servings). And it was very salty too - is that to preserve it? Not great for your blood pressure. I shall stick to the jar of ready made sauce next time as I know that is milder.
Not as mild as expected
This has a chilli rating of 1. However the jar I had seemed far hotter.
Korma is korma
Was sent this to review for free. If you like a korma then this is fine ... bland in the curry world ... pleasant and unexciting .. like korma ( opinion from someone who loves hot chilli ....)
Tasty
I was sent to review and not normally a fan of sauces from a jar, it was actually quite nice. I used it as a marinade overnight on chicken and it was super succulent and tasty the next day.
Flavoursome!
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I used this paste as part of the Chicken Korma Curry recipe taken from the Sharwood’s website: https://www.sharwoods.com.au/Our-Recipes/Chicken-Korma-Curry however, I substituted the chicken for tofu to make this vegan friendly. The overall flavour was great and it was pretty quick to cook. Would definitely recommend.
Just OK
I wasn’t overly impressed with the taste of this paste, I thought it could have done with a little more flavour as this was rather bland. I even added some additional spices myself whilst cooking. However, this is ok for a quick and easy dinner if time is short.
