Not quite as abrasive as the rose

I bought this face scrub for my husband but, he was not very keen. I thought I would give it a go, as it was in the shower and mine same brand rose was in my suitcase. I I think I prefer to the rose! The scrub bits feel slightly less abrasive. A finer grit, more like a bicarbonate of soda, rather than the plastic bead texture of the rose? However, I would be happy to use either.
