2. Bring water to the boil and then return to a medium heat, cooking for 16 - 18 minutes until the water has been absorbed. Stir occasionally throughout.
3. Serve. Best with a drizzle of oil or a plant-based alternative to parmesan.

it's ok
It's definitely bland and you have to flavour it to your liking. Nonetheless, it's a quick meal that doesn't take long so it's convenient
A bit bland
Convenient and quick to make with a good size portion for two but I just found it a little bland.
Inedible
Has a strange soapy taste and smells very strong. 2 mouthfuls and I gave up.

I cooked some mushrooms in butter and garlic before following the rest of the recipe - BIG hit in our house. I added some orzo we had in cupboard top to stretch it to feed my toddler too.
For garlic lovers only!
The previous reviewers must love garlic! Because all you can taste in this is garlic, and onion. It is so overpowering it ruins the whole dish. During cooking the smell took over the whole house ! It was absolutely awful. Just couldnt eat it or abide the smell! Also very stingy on the mushrooms needs way more in it, but thats the same for the whole white rabbit range, theyre proper stingy with the toppings and cheese on their pizzas and then charge a fortune for them! Not good!
Tasty and convenient
I'm going to keep a pack in the cupboard for sure. It is tasty with plenty of mushrooms and stock included. I like to start mine off by frying a few mushrooms and herbs and adding some vermouth before adding the rice and water, then cooking it in the instant pot on a timer for maximum ease. Good sized portions too. Lovely.
