Disappointing
Yuk! The bread was dry underneath and very oily on top. The middle didn't cook well enough. The sheese was ok. Never again.
tasty but oily
Was nice but the amount of oil which dripped out its covered the oven! Would suggest cooking with foil underneath to try and keep some of the oil as its prob flavour?
greasy and salty
Plenty of garlic but too greasy and salty for me.
Needs more garlic!
I bought this for us all to try on a weekend away. As the only person with any level of wheat or gluten intolerance (allergy in my case) and with a few family interested in vegan alternatives, I took this in place of the White Rabbit GF vegan garlic bread pair. The pros? • Pretty good texture (though cook it until crunchy round the outer; mine still had an undercooked middle) • Great sheese! Melty and plentiful • Plenty to share The cons? • Not garlicky! Needs more to pass as a garlic bread • Needs seasoning • Patchy cooking, though under pros too as the outer and all but the middle was getting there... I would give this 4/5 if solely a sheesey bread. As it stands, their tomato, sheese and basil pizza is streets ahead for me, full of rich tomatoey flavour and seasoned beautifully. White Rabbit garlic bread is definitely garlicky so still preferred. Worth a try if you love the idea of a cheesy bread and aren't too fussed about garlic content.
not nice
Very greasy and overpowering garlic flavour (yes I know they ARE garlic bread, but this could have scared off vampires in a 2 mile radius)
Really nice not-quite-pizza
This is a staple of mine now. it's kind of like a thin crispy pizza but it only has a garlicky cheesy topping. It's delicious alongside a salad or soup, it cooks crispy (though less so in the centre). This was my first experience of vegan "cheese" and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Really nice flavour and you could easily adulterate it with a few olives or a bit of salami (sorry vegans) before baking, & make it into a main course in its own right.
