
Baked cauliflower and black daal

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of patak’s bhuna spice paste
- 1 ocado organic cauliflower
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 2 packs of jamie oliver black daal
- 1 handful of coriander leaves, to serve
- 1 handful of mint leaves, to serve
- 1 spoon of natural yogurt, to serve
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 190°C/170°C fan/gas 5 and line a roasting tin with foil.Step 2
Trim the base of the cauliflower so that it sits flat. Cut a cross in the base and pull off the large leaves.Step 3
Mix the paste and oil together and rub it all over the cauliflower before putting it in the tray. Tip a small glass of water into the tray and place in the oven to roast for 1 hr. Remove and baste the cauliflower with the juices every 20 mins.Step 4
Place the daal into a saucepan with a splash of water and heat gently for 5-6 mins while the cauliflower is cooking.Step 5
Serve the daal with the cauliflower, with some natural yogurt and fresh herbs.
