Stir-Fried Lettuce with Oyster Sauce and Garlic

Stir-Fried Lettuce with Oyster Sauce and Garlic

Side dishes don’t get much speedier than this Stir-Fried Lettuce with Oyster Sauce and Garlic by Australian chef Rosheen Kaul. “Lettuce is a fantastic vegetable for stir-frying,” she says. “It’s a Chinese restaurant classic and can sometimes even be found shredded in fried rice. Here, it’s coated in an umami-rich sauce.” Stir-fry the leaves quickly on a high heat so the lettuce keeps its colour. It makes a great match for Rosheen’s  Red-Braised Pork Belly and Eggs.
