This
Chestnut honey is not very sweet and has strong acidic and astringent notes
that make it very special. What's
special? It is slightly tannic. This
fine honey has an amber to very dark colour that is intense in taste and
smell; it is characterised by aromatic, pungent, vegetal and vaguely
herbaceous notes. The meeting of these
sharply contrasting flavours makes your dishes divine.
The production area for this honey are the regions of Piedmont, Lombardy
and Calabria.

Its very strong flavour and smell honey which i like. It might not be the best for you if you are not used to. When i open the jar i smell real honey and seen most of the people tried to cook etc. This is the honey for drizzle over the fruits or yoghurt, or best served with clotted cream. I tried many of the chesnut honeys from different brands and countries and I could recommend as one of the best one. Ill definitely buy again.
This is seriously awful. It is so bitter, reminds me of unripe lemons. Expensive mistake on my part. Avoid this one if you like your honey to be sweet, floral & just a tad naughty
given this for free to review. At first, the smell and taste was distinctive and strong. But we are getting to love it! It's similar to lavender and oud.
