should be called Alpen currant
Thought this was going to be a healthy cereal with a bit of chocolate but turns out its just like all other healthy cereal and is full of currants. Roughly 10+ currants and 2 pieces of chocolate. Annoying when there is already plenty of health cereal dominated by currants.

Very nice muesli. Better than standard Alpen. Chocolate bits aren't too sweet.
Too sweet for me
Alpen has always been a bit of an odd British cultural institution. Its styled as "muesli" but really isn't, or at least is nothing like any muesli that i've ever had on the continent. The inclusion of high amounts of sugar and milk protein powder in the recipe means that it forms a kind of paste when you add milk. The inclusion of chocolate to an already over-sweet muesli doesn't really do much to improve it. I'm not sure who its marketed for, its very sweet so kids might like it, but they'd probably be more likely to pick Coco Pops or similar. Just too sweet for me and I wouldn't buy again. Perhaps one for if you have a really (really) sweet tooth.

I really enjoy Alpen and this chocolate version just takes top spot! Same great taste with the bonus of not overly sweet chocolate shavings. Great for anyone on SlimmingWorld, 40g is a HEb and lovely with FF Greek Yogurt and some sliced strawberries!!! Delish!!
