Dreadful Seal Mechanism on Packaging
Dreadful Seal Mechanism on Packaging Dreadful Seal Mechanism on Packaging. Agree with other comments. Inoperable, Really frustrating. Whom ever came up with this idea! The new fragrance also unpleasant.
leave white chalk on clothes
Used to use these years ago but thought Id give them another whirl. Although clothes do smell nice, the tabs end up leaving white chalk/powdery stains on clothing. It does brush off mind, but is annoying.
Will nobody think about the old folks?
OK, I have no quarrel with the pods; I always use them, and they get my washing clean and don't leave too much soapy residue. But this new "child-proof zip" is absolutely ridiculous. As an elderly woman with arthritic hands, I struggled for over five minutes to try and get it open. You have to push the middle of the runner down (against no real resistance to assist you), and then pull it to the right while still holding it down - and my hands simply cannot do that. Once I finally got it open, I resolved never to close it all the way again. Why does everything have to be childproof anyway? Why can't parents store their things sensibly so that children can't get at them? I survived my childhood, and so did millions and millions of other children, because my mother kept anything poisonous or dangerous on a high shelf where I could not reach it. Simple! Will nobody think about the old folks?
Not as good as the powder
I used to use the Ariel colour powder but Ocado no longer sell this. Yes, the pods are nice and easy to use but I have noticed at least half the time that either the pod or some of the liquid gets stuck in the washing machine’s door seal. Not brilliant! 🥴 Ocado please restock the powder so much better and no plastic packaging either.
A new overpowering fragrance
Ariel seems to have changed the formulation of these as the ones I've just bought have given my clothes an overpowering perfume smell, a smell which also filled the entire house when they were put in the dryer. It's bad enough that I won't be using the rest of the pack and I'll have to find a new brand.
terrible packaging
great wash but the packaging is awful. I couldn't it open ended up cutting the child proof stuff off. if you have trouble opening fiddly packing either buy the box or cut it off like I did and decant the pods into a "lockable" container.
