far to salty and yeasty.
I'm on the search for a really good substitute for a real homemade bone stock, that I can use for quicker meals. I used the positive reviews and bought this and the chicken version thinking it would be 5he answer. I put two ts into a beef stew with a ltr of water and after 2 hours of slow cooking was looking forward to a rich beefy stew, instead I got a salty, yeasty disaster I had to rescue with sugar, red wine vinegar and a plain ol' Oxo beef cube! at least it's beefy!
Disappointed
Don’t get the good reviews this stuff is awful. Really funny taste I could eat the beef casserole I made.
great for stews
I use this stock as a gravy since I can't handle regular gravy with wheat and onion etc. It works for me. No stomach issues and tastes good. I used it to stew chicken and I was surprised at how good it tasted.
Bit disappointing
I'd hoped for a stronger flavour, really. It's a decent product but I think there are better options, certainly at this price point.
salty
Proper stock should have essentially zero salt. This has 5.5%, so will ruin any dish you make, especially if you reduce the liquid.
Rich and tasty
Excellent stock that adds a real depth of flavour to beef casserole. Fantastic to have a fodmap-free option.
