Really good

This is a really good sauce - my daughter loves it and shes not on a low fodmap diet like me! The recipes for it on Bay's website are great too

Bitter

We regularly enjoy the Bay's Kitchen Tikka & Korma sauces & occasionally buy the Sweet & Sour. Was quite excited to find these. big mistake. We rarely throw anything away, but I simply could not stomach this made me feel quite queasy. I've never tasted Katsu like it. Nasty. Never again.

I liked it.....

I liked it, not as much as the sweet and sour which I love, but 1/4 of a jar with gf breaded chicken goujons and rice with some carrots, it added a bit of sauce and something to my restricted diet. It doesn't taste like katsu I agree, but I just use it for a bit of variety. I split the sauce into 2 or 3 pots depending which sauce and freeze the other.

Overpowering bitter taste, disgusting

Don't try it, it's terrible. It's really bitter and overpowers everything it touches, such a shame but once again the gluten free audience are robbed of a chance at a good product. Off to deep clean my mouth from the vinegary, soap like taste.

Excellent curry style sauce

Whilst I agree it's not a traditional 'katsu' tasting sauce, it is very tasty for a ready made, low fodmap sauce. As others have said, it tastes more like a mild chip shop curry sauce. If you don't need low fodmap I'm not sure why you're buying this anyway, but it's a God send for those who suffer with dietary issues. Excellent with GF breaded chicken and rice!
