this is not good saffron

I use a lot of saffron as I am allergic to many other Asian spices. This one is not good. It fails on colour, flavour and smell. No matter how much is used, the food does not get the lovely golden colour. There is no smell at all. Have again tried just now to use it in a mango dessert and there is no saffron flavour at all.

Lovely strands of saffron, delicious in all manner of dishes including my favourite lemon saffron risotto.

High quality Saffron

I use a lot of saffron in my cooking & have tried from all price ranges including from Saffron farmer co-operatives during my travels. Unlike the previous reviewer I am happy with the quality of this Saffron & in my personal experience the so called Persian or Kashmiri Saffron from Iran/ India have often been the fake ones not this item.

fake saffron

Ive been doing a lot of research on spices, and decided to give Spanish saffron a try after trying out Persian and Kashmiri saffron. Decided to purchase it after seeing that this product got an award, I did plenty of tests and it failed in all of them. So please be beware, that this is not what you are paying for. If you want to buy saffron buy it from a verified website or a store.
