Lovely!

Love borlotti beans and use them frequently in soups and stews. Biona is my favourite brand, no rubbish ingredients, good packaging. Excellent quality!

metal can with no epoxy coating

The inside of metal can does not have a white epoxy coating to prevent BPA leaching into food. For that reason I would next buy this product from another brand which does do the coating. When a brand - like Biona - is all about promoting healthy organic foods with premium pricing, top quality packaging is a must.

slimy dark and not coming out of the tin

What happened to these? Can with date AUG 2024 was as per usual, light brown coloured beans in liquid, easily thrown onto the sieve to clean with water. Suddenly JAN 2025 cans came, dark beans covered in something slimy and they are not coming out of the tin without spoon. Considering how all other cans were up to now this was pretty yuck experience and not appetising to see at all so we didn't eat them! Anybody else has this kind of weird batch?

not keen

To be honest not really a lover of these types of beans these were a bit tasteless for a salad but they work well in a chilli

I generally dont like eating tin cans but the beans were good. I mixed them with a tomato sauce and they were perfect for my Sunday brunch!
