Excellent
I've tried many vegan sausages before, been vegan 10yrs, so many of the ones people seem to like have very tough skins and odd highly-peppered flavouring, these have mild flavouring, no alarming red or pink insides for those of us raised vegetarian and put-off by realistic meat alternatives, the texture to these is perfect for vegetarians and vegans who were lifelong vegetarian first who have never eaten meat, bouncy, but not too bouncy. The skin on the outside is kind of tough, but not too bad. I tend to cook everything for 5mins extra in the oven, and i find these sausages some of the best out there for those like me. If you want a realistic meat-alternative i'm not sure if these would be ideal for you though, but certainly ocado-customers, stop throwing perfectly good and edible food in the bin.
Saw the reviews and bought them as a challenge 😎
The trick is to double cook! I put them in the oven, took them out *before* they had browned, chopped them up and pan fried with veggies, herbs & spices one night. Round two, the next night I oven cooked, chopped, then simmered them in a well seasoned sauce. Both results were DELIGHTFUL - we've just added a few more bags to our next shop 👍
Avoid
As a vegan of over a decade, these are like Quorn sausages a decade ago. Dry and tasteless
Not great
So many other better vegan sausages out there like Beyond or Miami
horrible
Peculiar taste and they dont look very appetising - pale and odd texture. What's happened to the original version? So much better than these so called "best ever" that ended up in the bin.
Awful
We couldn't eat them. A really odd texture and tastes odd.
