Instructions
Microwave and oven: Allow tray to stand to regain rigidity. Do not reheat once cooled.; Microwave - From Frozen. 1. Remove outer packaging and film lid. Place on a non-metallic plate.
2. Cook on full power: 700W 11 1/2 mins/800W 11 mins/900W 10 1/2 mins.
3. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
4. Check that food is piping hot before serving.; Oven cook - From Frozen. 1. Pre heat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas mark 6 or fan oven 180°C.
2. Remove outer packaging and film lid.
3. Place container on a baking tray on middle shelf of oven and cook for 40 minutes.
4. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
5. Check that food is piping hot before serving.

These were okay a couple of years ago
I used to very rarely buy these as they are very affordable and filling meals The meat used to be softer but now it is just mainly tough gristle I used some crispy onions and onion gravy on top to add some flavour even though the Bisto gravy is nice , if I was going to buy it again ( I probably will not ) I would fry some fresh onions and add the onion gravy to it to make it more of a comfort food meal as sometimes you need something inexpensive when it's 'bills week' but then you need some real comfort food so my search will continue for an inexpensive eg GOOD macaroni cheese next as these are occasional 'filler' meals and sometimes fatigue takes over and you need something quick and easy and if they had NOT changed the nice soft meat to just gristle I would have possibly bought it again
Great for the price
This is almost the cheapest ready meal on Ocado now, I dont know what people expect. This is nice, yes its texture is very soft, and it needs seasoning or sauce, but for the price its ideal as an emergency back up.

I love a microwave cottage pie, I dont know why I love it with chips and I just feel ok with it. Its not amazing or huge in size but it is tasty. I feel its straight forward without being OTT or very cheap and nasty. The price is ok and reasonable

Suprisingly good
Many of the other cottage pies can taste a bit funky, since they desperately add other ingredients for flavour, to make up for the pathological obsession with removing salt. Hint we have salt sellers at home and will probably add more with those than was removed in the first place. This is good honest fare. It needs a bit of salt, but has a better taste than most of the competition. Also a decent sized portion.
