Simply a great example of what pilsner should be, and a very classy arrival gesture for the festive season
Good body and bitterness balance, good head and full of flavour
I'd rate this Pilsner at the same level as A Krombacher Pils and Warsteiner. t's a Shame Ocado no longer stock Spaten Pils but this is a good alternative.
I love German beer, so I thought i'd give this a try. It's very light and refreshing. It doesn't have much flavour but you can tell it's good quality. There is a strong bitter aftertaste that some people might like but I found it unpleasant. I'm not a big fan of bitter beer. It was a bit like drinking alcoholic tonic water. If you are looking for something easy to drink on a hot day and don't mind the bitter taste then I would recommend it.
