Tasting Notes
This wine is pale yellow in colour with green reflections. On the nose, there are intense aromas of peach and citrus. The freshness and minerality on the mid-palate is superb, ably supported by a remarkable acidity which frames the juicy fruit on the crisp finish.
History
Bodega Garzón is a family-owned winery in Maldonado on the Atlantic coast in southern Uruguay. They pioneered viticulture in this area over 10 years ago.
Regional Information
Located 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, the estate has more than 1,000 small vineyard blocks covering hillside slopes, which benefit from varying microclimates, different levels of humidity and an intense canopy management. Well-draining granitic soils and cooling Atlantic breezes allow the grapes to ripen steadily. The vineyards are surrounded by lush forests, palm trees, rocky soils and granite boulders.

Vinification Details
The hand-harvested grapes were pressed before being fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a cool 17ºC for two weeks. The wine then spent a further 3-6 months on lees for added complexity.

Uruguayan Wine

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. This was the first wine I'd tried from Uruguay and it was very palatable. I am not a massive wine drinker and enjoy a few favourite wines that are cheaper so it's unlikely I'll buy this wine at its current price.

Highly recommend

Received this free from Ocado to review. (It was showing as 17.99, seems to have gone up to £20!) However … worth the price if you’re looking for a treat. Very drinkable. While I’m not especially easy to please with wine, I’m not a sommelier so shan’t try to describe it! Only to say we’ve had pricier wine and agreed we enjoyed this just as much

Nice wine

I received this free from Ocado to review and it went very nicely with our pork hotpot. It’s not too dry and would be very pleasant drinking on its own. It only lost 1 star because of the price. I would buy it on offer but not sure I would pay the full price.

LOVE IT!

Im reviewing this wine as I received it as a free sample from Ocado. I normaly do not like white wine but this was so lovely and fruity! You can really taste the peach flavor. I drinked it by itself, tried it in a Sangria-like cocktail but also used it for our pork sunday roast and it made the most amazing tender meat and super yummy gravy. Would buy this in the future for sure. Lovely!
