History
Born in the small town of Mogege in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Portugal and nurtured by the team at Casal de Ventozela, a family run independent business that own a small 27 hectares of vineyard.
Vinification Details
The grapes, harvested by hand and selected in the field, are carefully transported to the winery in boxes of 18 kg. After a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature the grapes are pressed, followed by alcoholic fermentation of 90% of the must in a stainless steel tank with controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C and the fermentation of the remaining 10% takes place in a French Oak barrel. After fermentation, the wine goes through aging, remaining in batonnage with the fine lees for a minimum period of 4 months.

light easy drinking
I normally stick to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but decided to branch out while on offer and based on reviews and glad I did. Nice light white wine and exactly as described - dry, crisp and light bodied with flavours as described. Will be buying again.
