History
Born in the small town of Mogege in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Portugal and nurtured by the team at Casal de Ventozela, a family run independent business that own a small 27 hectares of vineyard.
Vinification Details
The grapes, harvested by hand and selected in the field, are carefully transported to the winery in boxes of 18 kg. After a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature the grapes are pressed, followed by alcoholic fermentation of 90% of the must in a stainless steel tank with controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C and the fermentation of the remaining 10% takes place in a French Oak barrel. After fermentation, the wine goes through aging, remaining in batonnage with the fine lees for a minimum period of 4 months.

Awful
This was undoubtedly the worse wine box wine we have had. Not sure if it was a bad batch as bought it at reduced price. £17 is still a lot for 2 bottles of wine especially as it is unsinkable. Thick yellow and smells of cheap sherry. We have had this before and liked it. I've also bought a rose one, not holding out much hope. Disappointed and certainly wouldn't buy again.

When wine is yellow I know it's not going to be good. This one confirmed my theory.

Just lovely
Really, lovely wine, a little too easy to drink Fantastic for a party, and I'm just about to re order it.
