I would not call these soft touch; what they are is very good quality heavy-gauge wire hangers covered with tubular braid (and both ends are finished neatly, so there is no actual wire showing). They are quite substantial enough to hold a jacket or pair of trousers. The real advantage of the braid coating is not softness, but the non-slip factor; if you are fed up with clothes slipping off ordinary wire hangers, you will find these a very pleasant change. I have previously been using wooden hangers, but these are less bulky and still strong enough for all practical purposes.
