what has happened to this recipe???
This jar of Piccalily is So watery and has the odd bit of onion or cauliflower! So sick of the price hikes and cost cutting products ! Honestly this is a Massive disappointment! Fed up of being ripped off !
Too sweet but otherwise good
I grew up on home made mustard piccalilli, I loved the waitrose own brand but waitrose range seems to be dropping all the stuff I like these days. Branstons is way too sweet in my opinion but at least it's crunchy with plenty of veg. I'm getting used to it.
Mixed feelings on this
I quite like the taste and tang, but I'm highly doubtful that it contains 36% vegetables? Maybe we had an off-day jar, but it was a challenge to find any veg crunch.
authentic flavour, lacking vegetables
The flavour is spot on - mustardy and tangy however its ever so slightly sweet (I would prefer not to be sweet but this is a minor issue). The reason for the sweetness is the amount of thickeners in the sauce. And only approx 30% veg. Whilst I still havent found the perfect piccalilli on Ocado - this will do when I cant get over to Waitrose.
Great piccalilli
Like a previous reviewer it reminds me of my youth really good and will purchase weekly now.One small niggle could be slightly more veg.

This is good piccalilli. I had not eaten piccalilli for many years and decided to buy this one based on the recommendations. Thank you to those who take the time to write reviews. It was not too sweet, and I have already added it to my next shopping delivery.
