Awful taste
I had a Brita filter jug years ago and decided to get another one. The flavour of the water is truly awful, nothing like it used to be. Replaced the filter and it was the same. Had friends try it and they agreed. Almost a metallic, strong flavour which is very unpalatable. Would not recommend.
why arent Brita jugs dishwasher friendly?
Taste of water is fine and we still use these but I contacted customer service for a replacement jug after mine cracked and they said they cant be put in the dishwasher over 40 degrees which was why it had cracked. Its difficult to get a water jug sterile if you cant use hot water on it! Bit of a hygiene risk really On my third now. Brita are quite good about replacing broken parts if you contact them.
handle broke
Handle broke. Wish I had read the reviews before buying
Handle Broke
Ive had this under 6 months and yesterday after filling with water, i place it down on the counas usual but the jandle broke of clean in my hand.
Quality dropped
I don't know what has happened to Brita, it was a go-to for many years, but the two different models bought recently all fell apart in a matter of days. This one had a top bit and it's handle broken, rendering it unusable, the other just developed a crack in the main jug for no apparent reason. Switched to Phox and not looking back. Not affiliated. It's just better. No plastic waste too.
doesn\x27t hold enough. Not as good as old one
Top heavy. Drips down handle. Always empty. Not a patch on the older style one. No wonder it's reduced. Wish I could get my money back
